Stuff

It's been a long couple of days around here!
Erick started his new job at Freddy's Frozen Custard yesterday.  He worked about 12 hours on his first day! :)  He is training in a store right now to learn ALL of the ins and outs of the business.  He was hired as a Franchise Business Coach and will travel all around to franchises that are just opening and he will work with the franchisees to make sure openings run smoothly, do inspections, etc.  He is so excited to be back in the restaurant business and he is so good at it.  We are all super proud and happy!  After his first day of training (at which he flipped burgers), though, he had one swollen right hand!  Day #2 was today and he's not home yet.  When he gets here, I'll try to baby him a bit. :)
Yesterday was also the day Ava had to go to the dentist and go to "sleep" to get some cavities filled and have a couple of caps put in.  That was NOT fun!  Her appointment was in the afternoon so she was not able to eat all day.  It sucked.  We took her to the park, I colored with her for a little over an hour, she played on the computer, we went to the library...then it was finally time to take her to the dentist's office.  Since Erick had to work, my mom and Tom came and sat with me for a couple of hours just in case.  Ava was not happy about the IV in her hand and she flipped out.  Then her eyes started rolling back in her head and she was out like a light.  I didn't like that too much, but what was worse was her coming out of the anesthesia.  I held her in a dentists chair as she continuued to sleep.  Then as she started coming out of it she started squirming and crying and yelling.  Super fun.  Super.  Fun.  She pretty much screamed at me the entire way home.  She kept saying, "I don't want to be BUSY!  I don't want to be BUSY!  I'm hungry!  I want pancakes!"  Whoa.  The whole "busy" thing was supposed to be "dizzy".  I had a little giggle about that in the car and that really ticked her off!  We got home and got some pancakes in her belly and she was so much better.  She's tired this evening, so I think bedtime will be soon, but she seems okay other than that.
They had a Mother's Day breakfast at the kids' school this morning.  I loved it!  I got to eat muffins and fruit with my babies and they gave me very sweet gifts.  Precious!
Today was also Play Day (field day) at my school.  It was great!  Our P.E. teacher did a fabulous job organizing it and the kids had a blast.  When that was over, we painted the flower pots (milk cartons) that held the marigolds we planted (my mom actaully came to my school and planted them with the kids), finished up their Mom's Day book and played Just Dance on the Wii.  It was super fun!  I took a couple of videos of them dancing that are just too funny, but I guess it would probably be against the law to post them.  And I need my job.  So, nevermind with that.  My arms are already sore!
Ava's last soccer game is tomorrow!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!  I am off to put the kids to bed and have a couple of sips of captain and diet. :)

Ava with her "liquid diet" before 10am.  Nothing to eat or drink after that.

At the park.  Love my girl so much!
