Randomness

I am pretty sure I have titled several (if not more) of my blogs with this title.  Randomness.  I don't have time to write, as usual, but I do have pictures to share.  Some of them are old, but better late than never, right?  Right.
Work has been busy for Erick and I.  Or Erick and me.  Whatever.  Anyways, here we go!

These first pictures are from The Walk to End Alzheimers.  Our lovely family walked around WSU campus in honor of my stepdad, Tom.  I am pretty sure this will become a yearly tradition.

Next, we have my Girls Weekend in KC with my fabulous friends, Erica and Ashley.  It was a wonderful weekend away, letting loose.  We went out for dinner, drinks, shopping, and just plain fun.  It's great to have friends with whom I can just be "me".

These are from Thanksgiving night with Erick's family at his aunt and uncle's house.  The kids got to play the drums!  Oh my, you should've seen their faces light up while they played.  It was adorable!

And here is more randomness...
It got a little quiet in the bathroom. When I checked on him, he had taken off the ENTIRE roll of tp and was pretty damn happy about it.  Ha!

Watching the train under B's tree.

Minute #1, getting along and looking cute.

And minute #2.  Yep.  These are our Littles.  Aren't they fab?

Trick or Treat!

This year, the littles decided to be a horse and Spider Girl.  Pretty darn cute if you ask me!  B-man only made it to a few houses on Halloween because he has croup.  Neither of the kids have ever had it before and it is so not fun!  He is a bit better now, but was coughing constantly and threw up several times.  His airways were swollen so he got a steroid and an antibiotic to kick the booty of croup!  I stayed home with him one day, my mom stayed home with him today and we going to see what tonight brings to decide about tomorrow.  Anyway, now to get back on track...even though Brecken didn't have as much fun as we would've liked, Ava had a blast.  She kept talking about how fun trick-or-treating was and how much she loved it.
Here are some pictures of our night...
A couple of nights before Halloween, my parents came by to bring treats for the littles.

Spider Girl!  Ready to go to school for the parade and party!
Halloween night at the von Merveldt's.  Shelley made a yummy dinner and my mom came to trick-or-treat with the kids.

See that skeleton at the bottom right?  As the kids were leaving this house, it sat up and made a noise.  Brecken was SO scared he cried and screamed and wouldn't go to another house.  Poor guy!

After trick-or-treating, just sitting on the porch for some fresh air.

Ava really enjoyed passing out candy!  Actually, she told me before we left that day that she wasn't going to wear a costume because she just wanted to pass out candy to the little kids.  :)

Grandpa Rolf giving Ava some candy.  Love the hair!
