Happy Mother's Day!

What a wonderful day! I got to sleep in and the kids and my fabulous husband made me breakfast in bed--biscuits and gravy. Yum! After eating, my tummy was fat and happy and I went back to bed for a little while. I felt a little guilty...but not guilty enough to stay up. :) Later in the day, our little family went to Fresh Market to buy some things for dinner and we also made a visit to the fountain and ducks. It was a beautiful day out! We also went to the playground and let the Littles run out some energy (not sure how B even had any energy since he was so jacked up last night that he didn't go to bed until midnight. Seriously.). The hubs made me a healthy dinner of salmon and veggies and I topped it off with a brownie and a glass of wine.
It was a nice, relaxing day. I am so thankful that I have such a great family that made it special for me. I love being a mommy!

The inside of the card Ava made for me at school.

My before dinner margarita.

Yes, my man is a fabulous cook. Yum!

Make a wish!

Ava's handprint on a towel she made for me. So sweet!

And Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I love her so much, am very thankful for everything she has done for us, and have no idea what I would do without her. She is one of my very best friends.

Another Sunday Funday

Okay, so this was a couple of Sundays ago but I am just know getting around to blogging about it. Better late than never, right? It feels great to get caught up!
The kids and I (Erick was on a work trip) decided to skip church and have a play day. We went to the book store and read, played with the train, wandered around, and got a free dessert for Brecken's birthday. We walked around Bradly Fair and the kiddos threw a million pennies into the fountain. They watched the ducks and loved it! We went to one of our favorite pizza places for lunch. Ava and Brecken kept saying, "This is the best day, Mommy! Thank you!" It's amazing how appreciative kids can be when you just spent quality time with them. We finally went home for naps and then went to the playground. It was a fabulous day!

Enjoying the outdoors!

Ready to eat some pizza!

Ava asked if we could take a picture of our feet.

Which led to a couple of other selfies...this is our sad face.

Not sure what face this was. :)

Aaargh!

B-man decided to have a pirate party this year because he loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We had a few family members over and I'm so thankful they could all come. Brecken had tons of fun and that makes my heart happy. Enjoy the pictures!

Brecken's Birthday

Our little B-man turned the big THREE on April 29!
Happy Birthday to my little sweet, ornery boy. You have the best smile and the biggest hugs around! When you were first born, I had so many emotions, I didn't quite know what to do with myself. But you've kept me (all of us) pretty darn busy. I can't even imagine our lives without you. Brecken, you definitely complete our family.
I love when you tell me to rock you. I love when you tell me I'm the best Mommy ever.
I love when you admire something I'm wearing..."I love your dress, Mommy."
I love your pouty lip and your puppy dog eyes when you're sad or you want something.
I love that you miss your sister when you don't see her at school.
I love your funny faces and crazy personality. You would be a fabulous stand-up comedian. :)
I could really go on forever, but I will end with...I love you to the moon and back!

On B-man's birthday, we took pirate cupcakes to school to share with his class. We made enough that Ava got to share with her class, too. After school, we met Nana, Papa and Erick (who was just getting in to town after a work trip) at Freddy's for dinner. It was a great evening!
