Snow Day #3, Sick Day #500

We didn't have school again today because of the weather forecast. I wasn't too sad about it because Brecken now has the flu (since a couple of nights ago) and it was nice to be home with the kids another day. I tried to take care of Brecken and keep Ava entertained.

And a fourth snow day was just called for tomorrow. It really does look pretty out.

 

And so this is what I am doing now. Hoping that things are okay enough tomorrow for flights to come in from Houston.

 

Snow Days

Whew! It's been quite the week! No school on Monday due to President's Day, I stayed home with a sick little Ava on Tuesday, worked on Wednesday while Mimi stayed with Ava, and school was canceled on Thursday and Friday (today) because of all of the snow (14.2 inches).
Ava has had the flu since Monday night and just today started feeling better. We were actually able to get out of the house today to run some errands and go to lunch. The streets weren't too bad, although some were still snow packed. I am so glad that Ava felt better today--it was hard seeing her so sick. She barely talked or moved, except to get sick. Glad to have her back to normal!

Thursday, Ava was still not feeling well. B played outside without her.

We tried to keep busy so that he would leave Ava alone since she didn't feel well. He wanted to make cupcakes, so we did!

It's Been A While

I've been told by a friend that I need to update my blog. There really is a lot going on, but I feel like I never have time to just sit and type to let everyone know. So, again, I will just add pictures. Soon, I am sure I will have a quiet evening by myself (with a glass of wine) when I can sit and write. :)

The first three were actually taken by my friend, Erica, before Christmas break. This is when I got my Golden Apple from Kake. A grandma of one of my students turned in my name. It was a BIG surprise!
