Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch was great! The weather was beautiful and we all had a wonderful time. So glad that we make this a tradition each year.

Happy Birthday to Ava!

Ava's birthday party was today and I just downloaded the pictures so I am hurrying to put them on here before I wait until two months now. I have obviously been horrible at blogging lately!
My little baby is six years old and I can't believe it! She's so tall and beautiful and intelligent. I love her to the moon and back!
We had a few family members over this afternoon to celebrate and we also went to Great Wolf Lodge last weekend with my parents (SO fun!). I have a few pictures of that, too, and will put those one once downloaded (soon, I promise).

Weekend Trip to the Ranch

We hadn't been to the vM Ranch since the very beginning of summer break and we finally got a chance to get back out there this weekend. It was a little hot the first day, but beautiful the second. Gator rides, shooting at bottles with a Red Ryder BB gun, playing in the water, canoeing, hopscotch, petting horses, mooing at the cows and eating lots of Grandma Shelley's yummy food. Whew! Our kiddos LOVE to be outside! What a great weekend!

Ava's first day of school was a couple of weeks ago, so this is a little late, but better late than never, right? Her first day of Kindergarten was on a Friday and she was super nervous and excited. She's had a great couple of weeks! She loves her teacher and is making new friends. One of her BFF's from her previous school is in the other Kinder room and also in latchkey, so she really enjoys playing with him. She's not really fond of going to latchkey before and after school, but we don't really have a choice and she is getting used to it.
I love listening to her talk about school each day...the funny things her teacher says, what she had for lunch, who she played with on the playground, what she liked in Music or P.E. She is singing a ton lately and continues to draw constantly. Love it!

Erick went to middle school with Charlotte's daddy and middle school and high school with her mommy. Now she and Ava are going to school together. Actually, there are a few of our friends' kids that are jsut starting kindergarten with Ava. Pretty cool!

B-man's First Day!

B started a new preschool today and he had a great day!
He will do preschool five mornings a week and Adventure Club (an extension of preschool) the rest of the day. We are so excited for him and he was super thrilled this morning when walking in his classroom. He didn't even care when we left. In fact, he was already telling me goodbye before I was even finished talking with his teacher. And then he was off to play...
