Happy Halloween!

Whew!  What a busy day!  After a great Halloween with my firsties today, Erick and I took the kiddos to Rolf and Shelley's house for dinner and trick-or-treating.  Ava lasted about three or four more houses than Brecken and then said, "My candy is heavy now.  I want to go back."  Brecken wasn't as into it this year as Ava.  She was excited the entire day!  Her teacher said she didn't take a nap today because she was too excited about the day.  They got to dress up at school and have a parade and parties.  I know they both had a great time!

Carving The Night Away

We got to carve our pumpkins today!  Brecken and Ava did NOT like to put their hands inside the pumpkins! :)  Enjoy the pictures and video.  I could only upload one of the videos.  Darn Blogger.  I'll do the other later.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch as a family this weekend.  We usually go to Walter's but decided to make a change and go to AppleJack.  My mom and Tom made the trip with us as well and we had lots of fun!  The kids (and adults) all had a great time going down the big slide, we jumped on the big pillow, Ava did the zipline, we went through the corn mazes, the kids rode the train, and we all took the tractor to the patch to pick out a pumpkin to carve.  It was great to watch the kiddos run around, laugh and have so much fun.  And it was REALLY nice that Erick wasn't working so we could spend the day together!

A random "funny": We went to lunch when we were finished at the pumpkin patch and Ava was asking Nanny about church.  My mom said that she went to church, but it was much smaller than our church.  Ava thought for a minute and then said, "So you have to shrink down before you go into your church?"  :) Love it.
