Holiday Island #1

Just got back from our fabulous vacay and I have lots of pictures to share! The first couple of days at Holiday Island were spent with our own little family and my mom. It was super fun but bittersweet as this was the first year that Tom, my stepfather, didn't go on vacation in June. We missed him!
We spent lots of time at the pool...beginning right when we arrived on Saturday late afternoon. Both kids were like little fish! And speaking of fish, the kids got to go fishing for the first time. The kids had little poles (Barbie and Spiderman) and Ava had her own little tackle box which was given to her by her Uncle Randy. Both kids caught a fish and were super excited!
Here are pictures from the first couple days. I will keep adding. I took way too many, as usual.

This is how B wanted to spend most of his time...under water.

First fish! So exciting!

Another first! Although, it was actually caught by Nanny. She let B reel it in and we pretended he caught it. He LOVED it!

On the way back from fishing, we saw some firetrucks checking the hose pressure in the lake. They do this once a year. B always says he wants to be a fireman, so we stopped and looked at the trucks. The guys said he could get in but he was a little cranky and tired and he refused. So we just got a picture outside instead. He says when he grows up he will be a fireman and rescue cats from trees.

Love this one. She looks so serious.

Some Riverfest Fun

This evening after swimming, the Littles and I and Marisa and her kiddos went to the Riverfest. I don't even know the last time I have gone except for the River Run. Maybe high school? A long time, obviously. But I had a great time with the kids! They did the inflatables, got faces painted, did bumper boats, got to climb on lots of trucks and honk lots of horns . A little expensive, but I think the fun they had was worth it.

There were tons of trucks for the kids to climb on and in at Touch a Truck at the River Fest. Hope they do this every year. The kids loved it!

Happy he can honk the horn five million times

A Sleepover and Some Dinosaurs

We had a little sleepover last night and the cousins played and played their little hearts out. I don't think the last eyes were shut until about 10:45. The next morning, we were treated by Mimi to a trip to Exploration Place to play and see the dinosaur exhibit. We had a great time! Shortly after leaving, B-man was out like a light. Guess he needs to do some catching up on his sleep. After nap, the Littles had swim lessons and then we had dinner with Nana and Papa.
At the moment it is super quiet in the house and after I finish this post, I am going to do a little work and watch whatever I want on television. Or read. Or do laundry. I don't know.
Playing dress-up. This is supposed to be a "sassy" look

B-man played dress-up while the girls were in the shower. He said, "I be a pretty princess too, Mommy."

The morning after the sleepover. Found B drinking the syrup and telling me when need to go to the store and get more.

On the way to Exploration Place

Scary!

Brecken was not to fond of the dinosaurs. I think they were a little too real looking for him.
