The Littles started swim lessons at the Swim Club again last week. Ava was a little nervous the first day, but she had a blast and B-man loved it from the beginning! He is going to be a little fish like his sister. The first day, his teacher said he did great but she kept having to tell him to calm down (he was a little excited). Today, he was sitting on the side of the pool, waiting for his turn, kicking his feet in the water. One of his fins fell off and his teacher gave it back to him. As he held onto it, he kept kicking, took his other one off and threw it in the water. Nice, huh? Then, after she gave him that one and began working with the next kid, he continued to kick. Kicked so hard he fell into the pool and his teacher had to grab him out of the water and sit him on the side again. Scared him to pieces. Hope it scared him into not messing around any more! Ava's teacher just keep saying that she's doing amazing. :)
We had movie night on Friday and had a ton of fun! We moved the couch in front of the t.v., made lots of junky snacks, and watched Rango (not the best movie ever). Super fun.
Saturday, we relaxed and then went out to dinner with friends at Timbuktu, which is slowly becoming the kids' favorite place to go.
Sunday was a busy day! I actually got to sleep until 9:30 (thanks to my fab hubs) and I felt so energized when I got up. I started cleaning out the pantry, then ended up painting it. I organized the pantry and a few cabinets. It has become a mess around here and I plan to get it back in order this summer. I also had some time to get a little sun. It was amazing just lounging in a chair and being by myself outside. Ava and I went for a walk/run for about a mile because I told her we are going to do the next Girls on the Run 5K in November. She was very excited to run with me. So cute! After running, Erick started teaching Ava to ride her little bike with no training wheels. Once she gets the hang of that, we can switch her to the bigger bike that's been sitting in our garage for quite some time. We celebrated her accomplishment with an ICEE before dinner! :)
